The workshop on Joint Programmes (JPs) is designed to provide participants with the skills, knowledge, and tools to develop, reform, and implement innovative JPs. Participants will engage in a variety of activities that will allow them to apply new insights and best practices at their institutions. The workshop also explores the potential for cooperation in JPs between European and Latin American institutions, highlighting the importance of international collaboration.

The first objective is to equip participants with the ability to create new JPs or reform existing ones, focusing on current European trends and priorities. The facilitators will start by presenting the workshop itinerary and introducing themselves, followed by ice-breaker activities to encourage collaboration among participants. This session will include a group discussion on experiences related to JP development and management in different countries, enabling participants to share diverse approaches. The emphasis will be on learning from different national practices and considering how JPs between European and Latin American institutions can offer new opportunities for innovation and cooperation.

The 2nd objective focuses on exposing participants to best practices through real-life case studies that can be replicated at their home universities. A 10-minute briefing will introduce these case studies, some of which will be proposed in advance by participants through a questionnaire. Following this, a "World Café" session will take place, with participants rotating through five stations, each dedicated to a different real-life case or topic. Following this, a "World Café" session will take place, with participants rotating through five stations, each dedicated to a different real-life case or topic. These stations will facilitate discussions on individual experiences and help identify solutions and best practices that are adaptable to different institutional settings. The World Café format encourages active participation and collective problem-solving, which is crucial for fostering effective collaboration between European and Latin American institutions.

The 3rd objective is to provide participants with access to the latest tools and information for JPs, with a focus on digitalisation and the implementation of Joint European Degrees. This session will feature a presentation on the GODIJIP and JPROV Erasmus+ Strategic Partnerships projects, which emphasize the digitalisation of JPs. Participants will be introduced to online tools that can integrate digital elements into their JPs, making these programmes more adaptable to modern educational needs. This discussion will also highlight the role of JPs within the European University Initiative, as well as the potential for similar collaboration between European and Latin American universities. Group work will follow, focusing on the creation of strategies to increase innovative JPs at the institutional level.

The 4th objective involves a continuation of group work, where participants will present their conclusions, solutions, and recommendations through a padlet. Each group will share its insights on strategies for JP development. In a final wrap-up session, facilitators will provide general recommendations on the covered topics and invite participants to reflect on future plans for JP implementation, particularly in the context of partnerships between European and Latin American institutions.

By the end of the workshop, participants will have acquired practical knowledge and tools to drive innovation in JPs, fostering collaboration between Europe and Latin America to meet global educational challenges.
