Internationalisation and its associated processes are key drivers for partnerships in higher education and science. It enhances education quality, fosters global research collaborations, and increases the impact of educational and scientific activities. For Brazilian and UK HEIs, international collaboration boosts global recognition, problem-solving for global challenges, skill development, access to international funding, and cultural exchange opportunities. This workshop aims to build on these principles, share recent data, present practical tools and provide a space to exchange ideas for Brazilian HEIs to enhance their internationalisation processes.
The British Council, the UK's international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities, strengthens connections between the UK and Brazil in higher education and science. By engaging with governments, institutions and individuals, we foster the exchange of ideas and facilitate partnerships that benefit individuals, institutions, and societies in both countries. We conduct research on global trends in higher education, covering topics like student mobility, internationalisation, transnational education, gender equality, and partnership development.
