This workshop is designed to foster dialogue and collaboration between Brazilian and U.S. universities, providing a platform for discussing critical challenges in international higher education. Participants will engage in group discussions focused on the obstacles they encounter when building partnerships and increasing student mobility between Brazil and the U.S. The session will feature presentations from U.S. Embassy officials and representatives from EducationUSA, RELO, and Fulbright, who will outline how their programs support academic cooperation and institutional connections. The goal is to develop practical recommendations and strategies that can guide U.S. Embassy and Consulate actions in educational diplomacy, enhancing long-term academic ties and facilitating cross-border collaboration between Brazil and the U.S.
Key outcomes for the audience
The audience will be asked to share best practices and collective think about challenges to increased institutional collaboration.
Representatives from the U.S. Embassy and consulates, Fulbright Commission and EducationUSA will be on hand to react to the audience's discussion and to find creative ways to address challenges.
By the end of the workshop, audience and embassy representatives will have a blueprint of actions to execute in future partnerships, aiming at strengthening partnerships and celebrating excellence of U.S. and Brazilian Higher Education Institutions.
